  • Who is MediVita Health for?
    MediVita Health is for those individuals who want more from their healthcare. If you were seeking true health and not just a Band-Aid for your symptoms, we are the provider for you.
  • What is a televisit?
    A televisit or a virtual visit is an appointment with a provider using electronic means. Televisits can be accomplished by phone, direct messages or by video chat using a computer, tablet or cell phone.
  • How will my vitals be checked during a virtual visit?
    MediVita Health wants to provide you with the best care possible through telemedicine. By signing up for MediVita Health, you agree to purchase an electronic blood pressure cuff, thermometer and scale. These must be available during the visit to assist in providing the best care.
  • How will the provider be able to diagnose me without a physical exam?
    With virtual visits, you still have the benefit of a visual exam! With the description of your symptoms, your provider can often identify your diagnosis. Many conditions can also easily be treated without an exam. Additionally, prescription refills and mental health treatments often do not require a physical exam. However, by using MediVita Health, you are declining to have a physical exam, which would provide more thorough care, and assuming the risk involved of care without a physical exam. We still continue to provide the best care telemedicine offers. It is imperative that you do not withhold details concerning your health or condition.
  • Does MediVita Health cover emergency room visits and hospital bills?
    Unfortunately, MediVita Health does not cover emergency room visits and hospital bills.
  • Can I be prescribed medication through a virtual visit?
    Yes, you can! In Texas, it is legal for a provider to prescribe medicine through an electronic consult.
  • Can you help me afford my medications?
    MediVita Health uses GoodRX coupons to significantly lower medication prices for you. At the time your prescription is written, your provider will also text you a coupon if applicable. Some medications are extremely affordable and will not need a coupon. There are options to apply for medication assistance for newer and pricier medications through the prescription drug companies.
  • What happens if I need a physical face-to-face exam at some point?
    MediVita Health is committed to upholding the highest standard of healthcare for you. We understand some conditions have a need for a face-to-face encounter. Our providers have a physical clinic where you can be seen on an as-needed basis in addition to your yearly physical exam. The clinic is located at: 5833 Spohn Dr. Ste. 101B Corpus Christi, TX 78414 At this time, providers are not available outside of Corpus Christi. In those cases that require a face-to-face visit immediately, we urge you to seek emergency or urgent care where you can receive appropriate treatment.
  • When can I expect a response from my provider after I send them a direct message?
    MediVita Health office hours are 7am to 7pm. Please allow up to 24 hours for response. If you have an after hours urgent medical need, please call the number below and leave a message. Always seek emergency services by calling 911 for emergencies.
  • Can I use MediVita Health Concierge service if I have insurance?
    Absolutely. Insurance may cover some of the advanced testing and labs. We do not, however accept insurance for our programs. We can accept FSA, HSA and all major credit cards.
  • Can I use my FSA OR HSA card to pay for MediVita Health services?
    Yes, we accept FSA or HSA cards as well as all major credit cards.
  • Is the Telemedicine Application secure and private?
    All software used by MediVita Health is in compliance with HIPPA laws. Your medical information will not be shared outside of those directly involved with your care and those individuals for whom you have signed a HIPPA release form to allow us to contact regarding your health. We will not speak to your family without your signed permission. Fill out the form found in your patient portal for authorization to release information to a family member.
